Thomas and Tom don't get along...

... and everybody knew about it.

But they had to work together.

They settled in for the long months ahead.

But Tom slipped and hit his head.

Thomas panicked, but then had a great idea.

Tom isn't doing so well.

Neither is Thomas.

In fact, Thomas was never well again.

Because of the massive storms, rescuers made several attempts to reach the lighthouse to check on the keepers.

But every time they managed to approach the rocks they could see the figure of a man on the railings, not calling out, or beckoning, or in obvious distress.

Just waving, over and over and over.
